Do you walk away from your workouts hungry and ready to treat yourself to a snack for the hard work you just endured in your gym session? It is completely possible to undo all of your hard work with the wrong snacks; there is truth to the saying that you will never be able to outwork your poor nutrition. Do not make the mistake of convincing yourself that you deserve the muffin with your coffee because you just finished a workout or are about to hit the gym.

Here is a list of ten healthy snack options that will not undo all of your hard work:

Nonfat Greek yogurt: It’s even better if you opt for the plain yogurt and add your own healthy sweetener, as many Greek yogurts are loaded in added sugars. Try adding a touch of honey and berries or natural peanut butter.

Hard boiled eggs: They’re definitely not just for egg tosses. Try adding toppings such as hummus, low fat cottage cheese, jalapeños or avocados. We suggest eating two per serving, but take the yolk out of one of them.

Trail mix: Make your own by mixing 1 cup of almonds, peanuts, cashews and dark chocolate chips to beat the expensive store-bought trail mix loaded in sugar additives and sodium.

Frozen bananas: Throw a frozen one in your food processor with a tablespoon of unsweetened almond milk for the most amazing ice cream! You can even add a scoop of protein powder (chocolate or vanilla) or natural peanut butter to give it a great mix of protein and carbs!

Apples and natural peanut butter: Slice and dip — does not get any easier! Try using Better’n Peanut Butter or PB2 for an alternative to your usual peanut butter.

Brown rice cakes: Add a tablespoon of your favorite natural nut butter and enjoy! Rice cakes are perfect for on-the-go moms and kids.

Home-popped popcorn: Add some kernels to hot coconut oil and pop! Add a dash of salt, cayenne or stevia to give it some kick.

Kale chips: Wash and dry fresh kale, lightly salt and roast. Not only are they tasty, but they’re also a great alternative to chips.
