I promised that I would blog more often and last week flew by and I can’t believe it is Tuesday already…whew!  Before skinnymom came about, I started a 100 day fitness challenge on a facebook page.  It was more for me than anyone else….but it has a following now and it keeps me honest.  It is 100 days straight of working out and doing at least 30 min of activity.  It is a fun little challenge and it keeps me moving.  What I didn’t expect is the following that it has outside of the facebook area.

I have had a number of people come up to me and tell me that they are on day (fill in the blank) and that the challenge sticks in the back of their minds until they get their 30 min in.  My husband laughs and calls me the task master, I don’t have a clue who is or is not working out, so it is funny that they feel accountable to me.  So, I guess it is a community that I had no clue that I had created.  Who knew?

Last week, I asked if you were a loner or a groupie when working out.  I prefer to be a loner, but I need to be accountable to someone and the 100 day challenge has done this for me.  It may not be your cup of tea and 100 days seems daunting, but more daunting to me is bathing suit season.  So, if you feel so inclined join the fun.  Post your workout and the skinnymoms will be adding some challenges to the 100 day workout too.  If you aren’t moving, start doing it now…it’s never too late.  Remember strong is the new skinny.
