I have to apologize for not blogging as much these last two weeks. Life has been crazy as we are moving into a new house this week (FYI, if you are thinking about building a house, come talk to me first, LOL!) and then with managing everything with Skinny Mom, being a mommy and a wife, and getting my workouts in….I have had no time!!!

I am hoping to get a moment to breath or at least feel somewhat caught up, maybe by the time Christmas rolls around although that may be wishful thinking….my new motto is “One Day at a Time”!

In the mean time I do want to pass along a new protein shake recipe that I came up with….I have been drinking a lot of shakes lately as they are easy and fast, which is exactly what I need right now. Hope you enjoy!

Chocolate Banana Protein Smoothie

Serving Size: 1 serving


  • 1 scoop chocolate whey protein powder
  • 1 small ripe banana sliced (also works great if frozen)
  • 1 tsp mini semi-sweet chocolate chips (or 1 square from a bar)
  • 2 tsp Stevia® (or your favorite sweetener)
  • 1½ cup crushed ice or 14-16 ice cubes
  • ½ cup water


  1. Add all ingredients into a blender.
  2. Blend until desired consistency and enjoy!
