Strawberries are currently in season so you can make this lovely dessert pretty inexpensively. Get the whole family involved and pick your own at a local farm! This recipe can be made ahead of time and kept in the frig (perfect for a party or quick snack).
Ingredients
- 12 Strawberries
- Splash of Vanilla Extract
- 4 table spoons of fat free cream cheese (40 calories per two tablespoons)
- Splenda (or any zero calorie sweetner) to taste. I use 2-3 teaspoons
- 1 Low Fat Graham Cracker crushed into crumbs (55 calories)
Instructions
- Cut the tops off the strawberries and with a sharp knife cut an X – do not cut through the strawberry.
- In a small bowl mix – cream cheese, spenda, and vanilla.
- Place mixture into a pastry bag or a plastic bag with the tip cut off and pipe in the filling. Roll top of strawberry in graham cracker crumbs.

These look so good. I always have a craving for something sweet and just need a little taste of something to squelch it – thanks for idea.
Any suggestions for a different kind of yogurt? My local grocery stores don’t carry Gannon red velvet
