15 Calorie Cheescake Stuffed Strawberries!

Strawberries are currently in season so you can make this lovely dessert pretty inexpensively. Get the whole family involved and pick your own at a local farm!  This recipe can be made ahead of time and kept in the frig (perfect for a party or quick snack).

15 Calorie Cheesecake Stuffed Strawberries

Ingredients

  • 12 Strawberries
  • Splash of Vanilla Extract
  • 4 table spoons of fat free cream cheese (40 calories per two tablespoons)
  • Splenda (or any zero calorie sweetner) to taste. I use 2-3 teaspoons
  • 1 Low Fat Graham Cracker crushed into crumbs (55 calories)

Instructions

  1. Cut the tops off the strawberries and with a sharp knife cut an X – do not cut through the strawberry.
  2. In a small bowl mix – cream cheese, spenda, and vanilla.
  3. Place mixture into a pastry bag or a plastic bag with the tip cut off and pipe in the filling. Roll top of strawberry in graham cracker crumbs.

    Any suggestions for a different kind of yogurt? My local grocery stores don’t carry Gannon red velvet :(
