Hey guys!! So I thought that I need to add some militaryness in here since I am “Mrs. Military”. I guess I am just so immune to the life, that it is every day for me and no one really cares. Anywho!! So in approximately 11 days and 12 hours, my Mrs. Military booty will be running in the Wounded Warrior Project 8k in Jacksonville, Florida. When I first decided to run races, I decided that I will run for causes that are near and dear to my heart. The first race I ran was for the Army Special Ops and Airborne Veterans and the second race was for Operation One which raises money to wounded Airborne and Special Ops bikes. Now I have the pleasure of competing in my third race (sans my husband, my rock, my pusher…Brian is away, training). Story of the military life. Better than deployment!! My baby will be with her Auntie because pushing a 40 pound wild child 5 miles is not my cup of tea–FOR NOW!

On September 8, 2012, I will be participating in the Wounded Warrior Project 8K Run in Jacksonville, Florida. The Wounded Warrior project holds a large spot in my heart . As an Army wife, I have seen everything from PTSD to soldiers who never return from war.  The Wounded Warrior Project was created to raise awareness and enlist the public’s aid for the needs of injured service members, to help injured service members aid and assist each other, and to provide unique, direct programs and services to meet their needs. The Wounded Warrior Project’s vision is to foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation’s history. All runners are asked to raise a minimum of $99 payable to the Wounded Warrior Project Inc. I have created a personal fundraising page to help raise money for our Wounded Warriors. I have set my goal at $500 and so far have raised $275.
