I have always been a huge fan of smoothies and am constantly looking for new ways to get my nutrients drinkable. So, when I stumbled across an article, here, about the myths about multivitamins and how we can receive all the nutrients and vitamins me we need through healthy food choices… I started wondering what I could toss into my blender to help my diet be a little more natural and clean. So, off to Amazon.com I went and started looking at smoothie recipe books and reading review after review of them.
Finally, I found what seems to be the most reputable smoothie cookbook with a whole index full of different and delicious sounding smoothies that mix fruit, vegetables, and herbs to provide vitamins and nutrients we need daily in a simple tall glass of green goodness! Let me share some of these delicious recipes with you:
- 5 apples – cored + peeled
- 1 bunch fresh parsley
- ½-inch fresh ginger root, peeled
Blend until smooth and enjoy!
Berry Blue Smoothie
- 2-3 cups water
- 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
- 1 cup fresh of frozen blackberries
- 1 ripe pear
- ½ bunch purple kale
Put all ingredients into the blender, blend until smooth and enjoy!
Winter Green Smoothie
- 1 cup frozen berries (any kind)
- 2 cups fresh spinach greens
- 2 cups water
- ¼-inch ginger root
Place all ingredients in the blender, and you guessed it, blend until smooth and bottoms up!
There are so many more delicious smoothies to try that are full of vitamins, so get out there and experiment or take some time browsing your favorite search engines looking up recipes for vitamin packed green smoothies!
