We have all seen the resolution cycle: people fed up (quite literally) with their winter weight gain hit the gym in masses. For those first two and a half weeks, every machine has 3 people waiting to use it next. Every treadmill, elliptical, bike and stair stepper are already claimed–and not just for the 30 minutes suggested but for that full hour.
By the middle of the third week, the gusto has worn off. Less and less people pile through the doors at 6 a.m. or 5 p.m. More and more machines are left completely untouched; almost half those resolutions are already broken.
That’s why this first month of Skinny Mom’s A New You Beyond the New Year challenge is “Jump In & Break a Sweat!” Skinny Mom is going to keep you motivated by challenging you every day of every month of 2013. The focus is staying active this first month and maintaining your willpower to workout the WHOLE month and beyond, not just the first couple weeks.

- Daily Workouts that are time sensitive and effective. Each are only 20 minutes in total: 4 moves, 1 minute each, 4 times (with a little rest in between sets) So you can do these AT home without the guilt of not getting or the struggle to get to the gym. We tailored them to hit every muscle group following a rotation of upper body, lower body, abs, cardio and total body workouts.
- Daily Meal Plans: skinny meals are pre-planned from ingredients to grocery list and dietary needs. Almost every meal can be prepped and made within 30 minutes. But, the most innovative part is the rotation between low-carb, low-fat and low-cal meals. It’s not based on simply cutting one out. Meals are balanced and satisfying which keeps your metabolism and energy up!
- Social Media Fitness and Diet challenges that require you to post pics showing how you have stuck to our diet, completed our workouts, broke in your brand new sneaks and inspired fitness motivation in others.
