Deliciously Simple Cheeseburgers

Yield: 4 servings

Serving size: 1 hamburger patty with slice of cheese


  • 1 pound lean ground beef (93% or leaner)
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
  • 4 whole wheat hamburger buns
  • 4 slices Sargento® Ultra Thin Sliced Sharp Cheddar Cheese
  • Optional*:
  • whole wheat hamburger buns
  • tomato slices
  • pickle slices
  • onion
  • low sugar ketchup
  • yellow mustard
  • low sugar pickle relish

  1. In a small bowl, mix together all of the spices.
  2. Add spice mixture to ground beef
  3. Using clean hands, mix spices with ground beef and shape ground beef to form four hamburger patties.
  4. Grill burgers over medium high heat until cooked to desired doneness.
  5. Serve on (optional) whole wheat hamburger buns and top burgers with one slice of cheese and (optional) toppings.
