I’m one of those people that can’t just “run into a store” to pick up a quick gift. My gifts take thought and planning and I prefer them to be meaningful and personal. So when I start planning Christmas gifts, I love to find those perfect homemade ideas…the ones that I can add that little personal touch to. Because I’m so busy though, I need gifts that can be quickly assembled without the hassle of twenty billion steps and gadgets that are difficult to find and use.
So, for our Skinny Mom readers I have created the perfect homemade Christmas gift guide! Hopefully you’ll find something here for that amazing person or persons on your list this year.
Martha Stewart Bath Fizzies: She’s the queen of all things homemade so I thought I’d begin my list with Martha Stewart. These bath fizzies are easy to make and can be made in a variety of shapes and colors. Use mini-cookie cutters instead of trays to form shapes.
Teacup Candle: Use your favorite teacup to create the perfect elegant Christmas gift.
Hostess Cooking Package: I love this idea! It’s just the right gift for that special cook in your life.
Family Recipe Book: This book would be a great addition to the previous post on this list. Use it to pass down special family recipes. It’ll be a treasured keepsake for sure.
Monogrammed Tray: Ssshhhh!…don’t tell anyone but many of my family members will be seeing this one under their tree this year!
Peppermint Pampering Gifts in a Jar: This is such a great idea from Tonia over at The Gunny Sack! What girl doesn’t love a little bit of pampering? She provides step by step instructions for making your own spa products or you can purchase already made ones. Regardless, this gift will be one much appreciated!
Christmas Embellished Dish Towels: This Christmas gift idea by Megan at The Homes I Have Made blog is such an easy yet elegant gift idea. They can be made in under an hour and are great hostess gifts.
Dot Painted China: I started the list with her, I figured I would end it with Ms. Martha. These make beautiful decorative pieces to display throughout the house.
No matter which gift you choose to make this Christmas, I know your friends and family with appreciate the thoughtfulness of something homemade. Merry Christmas!
