Watercolors are going to be big this spring…along with the ink blot look. I am in love with anything Target, so when Prabal Gurung’s new designs hit, I had to check them out. The first two looks are styled using his newest collection LOVE  for Target! These are more of the ink blot test looks, but they still have a soft appeal color scheme wise. The dress is from Express and I loved the little peek-a-boo back. Plus, it is also a hi-low dress. That’s two trends in one!

Watercolor/Ink Blot Top with Jeans: Stay dark with the jean, it allows the colors to really pop! Plus, the faded jean can quickly become a “mom jean” if not paired properly. Pick a color in the top and pull it out for a cute shoe. Base your jewelry off the structure and feel of the dress. This is edgy because of the style, but somewhat “cultured” because of the pattern and color. Something about it says world market and downtown gallery all at the same time. We picked the black tassel earring for the modern match and the bangle set to play off this eclectic pattern.

Watercolor Skirt: This is a pleated, playful skirt. Keep everything else very minimal. Denim is still super in, so a jacket will pair with really any flowy skirt in spring! Because of the colors and the lace hem, we also kept the top very basic. Actually, it’s the most basic white tank you can get. Find a neat shoe, like this braided leather gladiator for extra texture!

Watercolor Dress: There’s a lot going on with this dress as well. So, we went with bold gold jewelry for a chic finish. The shoe was hard to find. The lighter colors washed the dress out, so we went with that electric blue!
