Tyler wearing his FunKshades

Why FunK Shades? Because we protect our eyes as adults, and children need the same protection. FunK Shades offers this protection in a fun little package that allows your child to customize their sunglasses with fun little accessories that make them their own. The sunglasses offer 100% UVA and UVB protection, polarized lenses, quality frames, and snap on-off, interchangeable, collectable charms.

Tyler, my 8 year old son, absolutely loved the pair that I got for him. FunK Shades offers a wide selection of different charms that can be snapped on to the sunglasses. Since I know my son well, I knew that the skull & crossbones, guitar, and soccer ball charms that I ordered for him would be a hit. When they arrived in the mail, he was excited that a surprise delivery came for him. He ripped the box open and immediately began to assemble the sunglasses to his liking. My son loves anything that involves building, putting together and customizing, so needless to say the sunglasses were a hit! He wore them around the house for the rest of night, walking by every mirror catching a glimpse of how cool he looked.

Later on that night, we browsed online for additional charms. I was impressed with the quality of the sunglasses as well as the concept, “when fun meets funKtion”. What a great way to get kids to protect their eyes by making it fun.

These make a great gift for a child. I know I will keep the idea in mind with the holiday gift giving season approaching!
