Here’s a brief summary of how my first week went.  The 1 on 1’s are kicking my butt and I’ve been very sore, but it’s a reminder of how hard I’m working and keeps me motivated throughout the day.  I’ve met with a trainer 3 days this week and have also run one day.  Let me tell you a quick story about that RUN!  While at my daughter’s soccer practice a friend joined me for a run.  We followed a trail that lead us into the woods. Hey! it seemed peaceful at the time until we were stopped in our tracks by a dog on the verge of attacking us.  Pretty scary and lesson learned.  Remember Ladies, when running, especially in unfamiliar territory, always keep some sort of protection in hand.

My food has been good including lots of lean protein and veggies, and a bucket load of water.  I’m also eating every 3 to 4 hours to keep my metabolism going strong. One week down, two to go!!  (:

A couple other safety tips while running include:

  • Run against traffic
  • Carry an ID
  • Wear bright shoes or clothes
  • Trust your instincts
