Lindsey and Jeff with girlfriends Lauren, Brandy, Laura, and myself posing in the background

It has been a week today since one of my best girlfriends said “I Do” to her amazing fiance Jeff in the presence of her friends and family…I was so happy to witness this great event.  Lindsay’s wedding nuptials to Jeff were a surprise to everyone as I don’t think any of us expected for the “Send Off” party we were invited to last Saturday night to become an intimate wedding on the golf course!

The “Send Off” party was held at a beautiful country club with great food, drinks, and music.  As everyone gathered together, and made their rounds saying hello, taking pictures at the photo booth, and enjoying drinks with each other; I don’t think anyone of us even noticed that the bride and groom had disappeared from their party to change into their wedding attire!  As the DJ made the announcement for everyone to head outside onto the balcony, the bride and groom made their way onto the 18th green of the golf course for the surprise wedding to start.  I think I can speak for everyone when I say that not only were we surprised but we were all excited to be witnessing the two of them exchange their vows.  My girlfriend looked stunning in her wedding dress and the setting could not have been any more perfect.  I also have to mention that the fireworks display was one of the best I had ever seen at a wedding.

I have no idea how Lindsay kept this surprise wedding a secret from everyone but I am so glad she did as it was so much fun and made the evening that much more special.  I have been to a lot of weddings in my years but this was only my second surprise nuptials to have attended which got me wandering… have you attended a surprise wedding or if you could change your own wedding would you have made it a surprise?  I would love to hear from you!
