My Monday got off to a great start as I was up and ready to go for a jog before 8:30 AM when tragedy struck. As I took my first few steps, I felt a pop and stopped in pain. I knew immediately that it was my hamstring, boo!!  I headed back inside to assess the damage, and yes I pulled my hamstring.  I can’t even touch my toes without feeling the pain, so I guess I have to try to fit in icing and heat intervals in my already crazy schedule…not to mention I have to try to stay off of it for a few weeks. Not only do I need to run these days for cardiovascular and weight loss reasons, but it has been a source of therapy for me these past few months. I don’t know what I am going to do. Now I know what our mommy blogger Fit for Life felt in her blog post when she was told she had to lay off her intense workouts and simply walk on a flat surface only. It really does take a toll! I am definitely going to have to pull out all of those motivational quotes from Pinterest and stay focused on them for the next few weeks while my leg is out of commission!
Now on to the next half of the day. I was out playing in the yard with my lil’ Easton when I heard him scream like never before. I instantly saw the bees. He had stepped on a bush that had a bees nest, and they were stinging him left and right.  By the time we got him inside, he had been stung on the lip, inside of his nose, and on his tongue.  It was terrible, so we had him checked out at the ER to make
sure he was going to be okay. He is such a little trooper!  By the time we arrived at the ER, he found a lollipop and was miraculously back to being my wild lil’ Easton.  I know God was watching over him, and I am so grateful that he is okay.
Here’s to hoping we have a less eventful Tuesday, and that we both have a full, speedy recovery!
